Your dentist strategically places four implants through your gums into the jawbone to hold a prosthetic row of teeth.

Your All-on-4 implant procedure requires several visits. At the first consultation, your provider gathers important information about your medical and oral health history. They do a comprehensive exam of your mouth to ensure you have healthy gums and adequate bone to hold the implants.
CT scans are used to generate a 3D image of your jawbone and teeth. Your provider uses these scans to develop your customized All-on-4 plan, including optimal placement of the implant posts. Computer software creates a simulation of the implants so you can visualize your new smile.
When you come in for oral surgery, your provider administers local anesthesia so you feel very little during the process. They then make small incisions in your gums through which they insert the implants and place them into your jawbone.
You go home to recover for a few months. During this time, the implants fuse to your jawbone in a process called osseointegration.
